Following a highly successful career with some of the UK's largest companies and in the UK Parliament, Rosemary Parr founded the Global PA Association & Training Academy in 2006. In the last 10 years the Global PA Association has established itself as the global leader in the training and development of Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Secretaries, Office Managers & Administrators. Rosemary has travelled the world extensively in the last 10 years delivering motivational and productive training programmes for clients. Her work has taken her to Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Dubai, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mauritius, Australia, Brunei, Switzerland,Spain, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Eire.
Rosemary recognised the need for professional development for EAs and PAs while working as the Executive Assistant to Sir Christopher Bland (Chairman of BTplc 2001-2007). In 2003 the BT PA Network was established by Rosemary to bring together this vital workforce sector, motivate and inspire and offer them professional development opportunities. The network was extremely successful and celebrity networking events were held regularly at the BT Tower with PA guests from BT's top customers. Speakers included Will Carling, Angela Mortimer, Dr Hilary Jones, Ellen McArthur.
2007-2010 BT Conferencing sponsored the Global PA Association and Rosemary delivered motivational webinars to BT's customers on productivity and efficiency
2009 Global PA published the largest piece of Academic Research undertaken globally in the last 30 years into Secretarial Work, Skills & Careers in partnership with Kingston University Business School and led by Professor Katie Bailey
2012 Kingston University & Global PA publication of Academic Journal Article 'Still in the Ghetto', Experiences of Secretarial Work in the 21st century with a reach to all Universities, led by Professor Katie Bailey
2013 Birkbeck, University of London & Global PA Association announce their partnership on a 'Certificate in Higher Management for PAs' - the 1st year of a degree (120 credits) in Business or Management for aspiring Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants & Secretaries who wish to advance their business management skills
2007 - to present. Global PA Training Academy is a regular exporter of Accredited PA Training & Development Programmes to the USA, Europe, Middle East, Far East & Australia.
2015 Global PA Training Academy became a CPD Standards Office London provider, awarding CPD points to Members & Training Delegates
2015 BBC World Service & Global PA Assocation collaborated on a radio programme 'The Rise of the Executive PA' which reached a global audience of 225m
2016 Letter received from Rt. Hon Nicky Morgan MP, (former Secretary of State for Education & Minister for Women & Equalities) endorsing Rosemary's championing and upskilling of women in the workplace. Rosemary supports Entrepreneurial Women and Working Mums and regularly gives talks and advice to women who are starting their own business. Global PA Association also raise money regularly for Save the Children working in Syria.
2016 Global PA Training Academy become a Recognised Provider of the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)
