KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Caroline Waters OBE is Deputy Chair of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, Vice President of Carers UK, associate at Marylebone Executive Search & Founder of CW's Consulting Box. Caroline was formerly Director of People & Policy and delivered leading edge people strategies which promoted inclusivity and the empowerment of individuals, whilst allowing them to contribute to the community and volunteering. For many years she actively pioneered homeworking and other forms of flexible working as well as active employer engagement with government departments. Caroline regularly contributes advice and guidance to government and industry and is a Judge on a number of Diversity Awards.  She is consistently placed in the top 3 positions in the annual 'HR's Most Influential People' and her leadership was further recognised by an OBE in the New Years Honours List 2010 for services to diversity and equal opportunities. Caroline will share her career journey as a Woman in the Workplace and her commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

 

GUEST SPEAKER: Angela Mortimer is the Founder of Angela Mortimer plc, one of Europe's most successful recruitment agencies for the EA & PA profession.  Angela established the company 40 years ago and has witnessed the evolution of the workplace and the changes there have been to the secretarial profession during that time.  Angela will share her expert knowledge of what Executives are looking for in their EA/PA and how to rise to the top of the profession. 

 

GUEST SPEAKER: Amanda Rosewarne is Founder of The CPD Standards Office. Her background is in occupational psychology and her expertise lies within Continuing Professional Development (CPD), lifelong learning, training and professional development.
As an organisational psychologist practitioner working with Kingston University Business School and Warwick Business School Amanda has advised hundreds of organisations on providing CPD activities and schemes. Through her commercial and academic CPD experience, Amanda is aware of the need for high quality CPD training, learning & coaching activities that meet the growing demands for CPD across the 1,200+ professional bodies and membership associations in the UK and globally.

 

Kassam Jaffer: Chartered Fellow CIPD, Facilitator, Conflict Coach & Workplace Mediator. Kassam will focus on holding Breakthrough Conversations using an actor for role play.  His session will explore what is required in terms of behaviour and practice in order to engage in Breakthrough Conversations with others in a variety of different situations.

 

Jenna Davies: Employability Consultant at Birkbeck, University of London, Assoc Member CIPD.  Jenna is an experienced training professional whose expertise lies in communication and public speaking.  Jenna's session will focus on 'Presenting with Confidence, how to get noticed in meetings/presentations and communicate confidently'.

 

Derek Osborn: Chartered Fellow CIPD, Business & Career Coach and formerly 23 years in senior management in Royal Mail.  For the past 15 years Derek has been delivering in organisations globally coaching and leadership training.  Derek's session will focus on 'Understanding & Working with Leaders, and how to get the most from the relationshhip.'

 

Abigail Jones is a career Executive Assistant, recently shortlisted for PA of the Year 2016, with almost two decades of experience. Abigail specialises in working at 'C suite level' and is currently working for the Managing Director of American Express Global Business Travel. Abigail's session will focus on how to perfect your interview technique, how to sell yourself without feeling embarrassed and how to talk about your achievements openly and answer tricky questions.  

 

Rosemary Parr: CIPD Member, Associate Lecturer Birkbeck, University of London, CTI Coach. Rosemary is passionate about the potential that each person has within them and champions and develops the potential of Executive Assistants & Personal Assistants across the globe.  Her unique training delivery has inspired EAs and PAs across the world to be the best they can be.  Her empathy and understanding of the challenges EAs and PAs face daily comes through her own 30+ years as an EA.  Her last role was as EA to Sir Christopher Bland, Chairman of BT (2001-2007). Rosemary's session will cover 'Lonely at the Top, how to manage the isolation of the role at C suite level'.

 

Kevin Elvidge: Chartered Fellow CIPD, former Head of HR for Gillette Europe.  Kevin is a highly experienced HR Leader who has held a wide variety of HR roles in UK & Switzerland.  Kevin will deliver and interactive session on 'Why we love to hate HR, what CEOs want from HR, challenges in managing the CEO/HRD/PA Triangle'. :
