Global PA Association & Training Academy has been championing and supporting the Executive Assistant profession for over 17 years. We have created the largest sample of academic research into the profession globally, which is now published in academic journals.

Working in partnership with Kingston University Business School, Professor Katie Bailey, and Amanda Rosewarne of the CPD Standards Office, we have explored why the profession is still viewed as a "ghetto occupation in the 21st century." This perception includes notions of "limited career prospects" and the fact that the profession is "95% women-led."

Progress in Upskilling

Since our 2012 academic research was published, we have seen significant improvements in upskilling and training for Executive Assistants in the workplace. At Global PA, we believe that AI will create further opportunities for career development.

The Executive Assistants who develop strategic, commercial, leadership, and AI skills are likely to become more valuable than ever.
